RENT A BIKE–The cities on Anna Maria Island have bike paths that make it easy to traverse the populated areas. The city of Bradenton Beach 5 miles of bike paths and bike lanes along Gulf Drive, connecting to more than 50 miles of similar lanes across the island. BEAN POINT–We are letting you in on a secret that very few locals have even visited! Bean Point is on the northernmost point of Anna Maria Island. Breathtaking beauty and one of the purest beaches you will ever see In your life. White sand, blue water, and out in the distance you get a beautiful view of the Sunshine Skyway bridge. It is relatively secluded due to the fact that it isn’t exactly easy to find or get to. Follow Marina Drive North, right on Pine Avenue, left on N. Bay Blvd. You will dead end into where you need to be. You can see there are two openings with signs about the riptide that you can follow through past properties and into a clearing that will make your heart skip a beat! Finding LEGAL parking will take a few minutes. Follow parking signs! And if possible, walk there, or ride a bike! Enjoy!
FARMERS MARKETS– Come enjoy the BEACH MARKET AT COQUINA BEACH every Wednesday and Sunday, except Easter Sunday. The market is a great place to find island treasures, fresh produce, arts and crafts, jewelry, apparel, pottery, purses, collectibles, health and beauty items and much more. Ride the free trolley or there is plenty of free parking. Manatee County does not allow dogs anywhere in the Coquina Park. The market is stroller, walker and wheelchair accessible.
BOAT TOUR– Enjoy 90 minutes on a narrated boat tour of the Intra-coastal Waterway. Check out tons of wildlife including dolphins, manatees and special species of birds. SUNSET– We know it must be obvious, but go experience an Anna Maria Island sunset! Grab your own beach chairs and a plastic tumbler of something fruity and head over to the beach to enjoy the peaceful drop of the sun into the Gulf. If you are looking for a more dramatic sunset, check out the beachfront restaurants like The Beach House, Sand Bar or Beach Bistro! Enjoy a cold drink, excited chatter and even a round of applause when the sun makes its final destination!
